Problem solving

Dear Team,

It was a good lesson yesterday:  lots of laughter and jokes (remember the one from Attila? if-if-if, hahaha).

Scratching his head

We learned about the three steps of problem solving - identify the problem, brainstorm, make a decision.

And the stages:
dealing with a problem (the continuous process), figuring out/working out the answer to the problem (the end)

Also, some new expressions were practiced:
  • Can I have a word?
  • What's up?
  • It's a bit of a pain.
  • So, what if we do a little experiment?
  • I know what to do now.
  • That was useful. Thanks!
I handed out a  practice paper with simple past and past continuous verbs. That's the homework.

Next week, the topic is "The History of Money" on pages 39-41 in your package.

Also, we will be practicing with passive verbs. I have put a new grammar practice on the links bar ---->

See you next week! And Attila: have a good trip to Denmark! Maybe you will practice English while you are there...

Sincerely,
Mary
